Workcamp/Week of Hope is Coming!!!
The Heartland Youth program is quickly closing in on it's 7th season of mission trips to help the elderly and underprivelegd repair their homes. This year the Senior High group will be visiting Piqua, Ohio on July 20-26th while the Junior High will be visiting Cincinnati, Ohio on June 29th to July 4th. Senior High Mission Trip Is Set for July 20-26 in Piqua, Ohio
On Sunday, July 20, 2008 the Heartland Senior High Group will embark upon their 7th mission trip ('02-East Bank, WVa, '03-Kingston, Tn, '04-Beaver, Ohio, '05-Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, '06-Rochester, NY and '07-Smither's WVa.) to Piqua in West Central Ohio (196 miles away). Registration Information is available now! You won't want to miss this trip. It's about 30 minutes from where Ron grew up! Be sure to read through the entire flyer to understand the deadlines.

A bunch of crazy Junior High students will be traveling to Cincinnati to participate in the second annual Heartland Junior High Mission Trip from Sunday, June 29th to Friday, July 4th. Our trip last year to Pittsburgh was such a success we decided there was simply no way we could skip it this year! Registration Information is Available Now!
Heartland Youth Small Groups
Did you know that the Heartland Youth Program has five (count 'em, 5!!) small groups underway now? Let me give you a quick run down of what's taking place in the Heartland Youth Ministry.
Blue's Junior High Small Group - Every Other Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM - Open to any Junior High student. a typical night includes snacks, a discussion focusing on the book "My Family" and an episode of "The Wonder Years."
Tonya Martin's Junior High Group - Every Other Tuesday on the opposite week of Ron's small group (if Ron's is this week, then Tonya's will be next week). Time is from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and will include a snack and lesson on a Biblical character like Joshua or Joseph. Specific dates can also be found in the Newsletter.
Annette Finley's Small Group - Annette Finley sets aside each Monday night to help kids understand the Bible better. They will begin a new series on Esther beginning April 21st. If you are a Senior High student consider joining their study which takes place from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Life Hurts, God Heals - Takes place at the Blue's every other Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Students today are living in a time where life circumstances can be tough and bad choices can have devastating effects. Life Hurt, God Heals is meant for students who have a tough time dealing with the curve balls life throws at them. We'll have food to munch on as we work through eight biblical principles from the Beattitudes.
