Hometeams - Where People Belong, Grow and Serve

Life is a journey, meant to be a great adventure. Life-support and life-skills are best developed in the context of friendships. God made us this way. Small groups are a safe place to get to know others, to become more comfortable with and equipped for our spiritual journey. Whether you're looking for a place to heal, to belong, to learn, to be encouraged, or to do life with others, there is a place for you. We are still the church when we leave the main service and head to our neighborhoods. There, we meet people just like us: People with needs and responsibilities, histories and dreams, shaky pasts and uncertain futures. Connecting and sharing is most often the key to learning, growth, support and transformation. And we have resources to guide us in that journey. Some of our God-given resources we utilize are: The Bible, Prayer, God's Spirit, the people of God, and spiritual leaders.

Which group should I join? People and friendships are as varied as life itself. We have groups designed for you with different personalities and each with a different focus. Introductory groups are for those interested in knowing more about faith. Men's and women's groups are specifically designed to connect and develop men and women according to their unique needs. Mixed groups often meet based on geography or stage of life. Try a few to see where you fit best.

Those new to leading a small group in the fall would benefit from Regroup (above), and it’s open to everyone interested in continuous improvement.

We anticipate another great offering of small groups again this fall.  In the meantime, don’t miss Class 101 and Class 201.

Heartland's C.L.A.S.S. Series (Christian Life and Service Seminars)

CLASS 101 - You were designed to be a part of a church family.  And that’s exactly what Heartland is intended to be – your family.  A healthy family has common beliefs, purposes and commitment.  That’s why at Heartland Community Church we want to share with you what we believe and where we’re going. CLASS 101 is our basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what Heartland Community Church is.  If you are ready to see if Heartland will be your church home, sign up to attend Class 101 with Pastor Terry Holley. E-mail Terry or call the church office at 330-725-1948 to find out about the next offering.

CLASS 201 - All Christians eventually ask the same questions: How can I get closer to God? How can I live more and more like Jesus? How can I grow in my faith? Where do I start? CLASS 201 is designed to answer these and many other questions. During CLASS 201, you will learn about four basic habits that every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity. Through Class 201, you will be equipped with the skills needed to begin these habits and you will learn the skills needed to continue these habits. If you have an interest in signing up for Class 201, send Pete an e-mail.

How Do I Take The Next Step?
